Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, children and youth who have to live in shared accommodation could no longer or only slightly get out, (artistic) offers were cancelled and social relationships were abruptly cut. The credo “stay at home” brought a stale aftertaste in this context. At the same time many artists lost their audience or participants in their artistic mediation work.
This is where the idea came in: A digital meeting place for children and youth, accessible via cell phone. The youtube channel mondiale live was filled by various artists* with interactive offers in different languages. The offers are still available and encourage people to get active, hang out, be in solidarity, make art – digital neighborhood.
